Must poweroff to restart TV

After a day, I got DD to work with my Twinhan 1020a using a Dish 1000.2.

I figured out I had to poweroff (not reboot) to bring my device up and making any changes. I am now watching TV.

However, if I exit DD and restart it, it doesn't get any signal. If I poweroff, and start DD all is well. Is there something I need to do?

I can minimize and mute DD when I am not using, but there must be a better way.
