b2s2 card (TT Cablestar 2) only works with Setup4PC on

I know I already have an open post - and this one may be directly related to the problems I mentioned in the other one. Still, it's a separate observation:

I can only get my b2s2 card running if I have Setup4PC turned on. If I turn off Setup4PC, DVB Dream doesn't get a signal. As far as I can tell, that means I'm actually using the SDK drivers, not the direct device mode. And may - just maybe - that's causing my trouble with finding channels.

Can someone confirm this - and possibly help me solve the problem?
