Receceiving encrypted channels TT CT3650 - Alphacrypt

I'm quite new at this so I apologise if my questions are stu***...

I've just bought a Technotrend CT-3650CI USB, to watch TV from my local cable provider (Ziggo in the Netherlands).
As I'm not happy with the software that came with it. I'm looking for an alternative.

When looking at dvbdream I have the problem I cannot watch encrypted channels. The program-info is displayed just fine, but I don't see any video, or hear any audio.
Just the first public channel from the Netherlands, which seems to be encrypted.

My TT CT-3650 comes with an Alphacrypt module, which has a smartcard from my cable provider (all totally legal).
When using the TT-Mediacenter, I can watch encrypted channels just fine.

Is there a software-setting I'm missing?
Or should I install some additional software?

Any help would be appreciated...
