Ffdshow green flicker - how to resolve this?

Postby sceald86 » Sat Jan 16, 2010 6:30 am

I'm on Windows Vista, with NVIDIA 9500GT, using Twinhan and these are my video renderer specs:
Video Codec - FFDShow 12/01/2010
Audio Codec - as above
Video Renderer - VMR (Video mixing renderer) 9
Audio Renderer - Default Sound Device
H264 Codec - Null video [for now, CoreAVC also installed]
What settings should I change in the current 2010 version of FFdshow to remove the green flicker I sometimes get in the picture - got it last night and sometimes today when using DVBDream.

Anyone know alternate codecs, or should I just stream it via VLC - which is also installed on my system?

Hi,

I'm using the ArcSoft codecs and haven't experienced any green flashes. You might be getting some stream corruption thats manifesting itself as the green flashes. What's your signal level and quality like?

I'd not do the streaming to VLC, just because its a bit of a pain when you change channels etc, but also because VLC I find more CPU intensive.

I'll see if I can try FFDSHOW and let you know what I find, but I don't currently have it installed.

Thanks,

James.
