DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
Things are improving. I did a limited test and I noticed that the channels no longer seem to disappear when deleting channels from dvbdream channel list. However, some channels although appearing in dvbepg (with channel name and correct satellite name), have no guide data. You can tune to the channel but once tuned, calling up the guide again will send you to the first channel in the guide and not on channel number you were on (i.e. on BEV 82, channels 849 and 850 appear in the guide but no data is availabe, you can tune to either channel but calling the guide back up takes you to channel 100). Also, some of the deleted channels still appear in the guide and the really strange part I can still tune to them and they work even though they have been deleted from the dvbdream channel list. I did delete the dvbepg.epg file after I deleted the channels and downloaded the 44 hour guide but it made no difference.

Working fine here now... i just gotta figure how to stop it from putting DD into window mode when i pick a channel:)
P.S. just figured that out.. if i turn on the option in dvbepg to show the tv in the upper corner of the epg, when you pick a new channel it bounces DD into windowed mode...
BTW, thanks for the fast responses REL, let momotte know we thank him too:)

Zag, i see what you mean bout it bouncing to the first channel in the guide... if i goto a dish channel the guide is on that channel again when i goto it.. it shows the bev channels and switches to them fine but bounces to the top of the epg when you open it again...
Turning on "show known channels only" made it only show the channels with names, but turning it off still shows channels deleted in the DD list, so its closer but not perfect, usable now though:)
Rel, you still taking beta guys?

DVBEPG_fix2 looks good
Just relaying my experience...
I didn't do a rescan (91W).
I had some deleted channels.
Most channels are in Favorite groups (old style, not quick).
DVBEPG set to display Favorites only.
fix1 didn't appear to fix any problems (channels missing in guide)
fix2 seems to have done the trick!! (all Favorite channels showing, none missing)
Thanks MUCH Momotte & rel !!!

The problem is duplicated SIDs in the .chl file
zag, i had the same problem. i wasn't sure at first if it was until you mentioned both 61.5 and 129.1...
you will notice if you delete your .chl file and do a fresh scan of 61.5, 110, 119, and 129.1 that almost all of the sids from 9420 to 9484 are duplicated from both 61.5 and 129.1 in dvbdream. somehow this is confusing dvbepg.
if you delete one of each of the duplicates you will notice quite an improvement. after deleting duplicates throughout the channel list (some show as "nameless sid" in dvbdream) and setting dvbepg to "show known channels only" my guide shows all the channels. you may want to close dvbdream after deleting the channels, then reopen and relaunch dvbepg. *hint ...when deleting the duplicate channels, delete the one that gets the lowest signal strength.
i don't think the problem is the code: who would have anticipated that a user was going to be configuring his .chl file with duplicate sids from different orbital locations/lnbs/diseqc ports (whichever is used in the database)?
