I can't seem to get more then 2 days on any sat. using ver 1.0.2.40. zomar said ver 1.0.2.37 populates the 7day guide. I tried ver 1.0.2.37 but dvbdream freezes upon launch so I never got it to work.
DVBEPG needs to be updated to work on DVB Dream, you must ask Momotte (the author of the DVBEPG) for that. This will need some time and cooperation with me as we did for v1.3c release of DVBEPG. I am ready for the cooperation part at DD side. If he has time , he could try to help. As DVBEPG users, you must kindly ask him for that. You can find him on DVBN forums.

Why does it need to be specific to dvbdream? I thought plugins could follow a standard and work in DVBViewer/MT/DVBDream.

I guess I hope for open source some day. :) Every private third party EPG seems to die out/become abandoned eventually.

Even without DVBEPG, I'd like to see a 9 day guide in DVBDREAM.

No matter what station I turn to, in the PID Analysis I never see 0x0300 events.

I only have Nimiq 91. My ExpressVU PVR gets a 9 day guide. The channel advertising the new 9 day guide (230 SWARE2) says the receiver should be off to get the most up to date guide. So, how does it work if the receiver must be off?

I'm going in circles, and would appreciate some help.

You will never see PID 0x300 because that is the PID that carries DISH 9-day EEPG not BEV. BEV just recently added the 9-day EEPG but it is carried by a different PID. An EPG plugin must be updated to parse the BEV EEPG PID.

When you turn off a receiver, all you are doing is turning off the video output to the TV. The "brain" of the receiver is still active and doing all kinds of background work. If your really want to turn it off, unplug it.

Third party EPG plugin usually die off because they start out has as a hobby then when released to the public they become work. People start making demands of features and fixes and eventually overwhelm the individual and he/she ends up stopping public support (can't say I blame them).

Thanks for the reply.

Is the BEV EEPG PID known? What number is it?

And could the dvbdream app itself handle it without the need for an epg plugin?

If DN and BEV's EEPGs just differ by the PID (the data format to be parsed is the same?), then perhaps it could be user configurable in dvbdream (input 0x0300 and get DN's, add 0xXXXX and get BEVs)? Not sure if that is how it works though..

Would be nice to parse it and output xmltv.xml format and then you could use any of the existing open source guide software.

Open source lets projects continue when the author gets tired of supporting it...

Yes the BEV EEPG is 0x0441 but like I said either the application or the plugin needs to be updated to be able to parse it.

You have to understand that DVB applications (like DVBDream) are developed primarily in Europe where DVB-S is really big and perfectly legal. We as North Americans have to be thankful that the developers (like Rel) do their best to make their application compatible with NA providers. They have no access to NA sat signals and lets face it, their primary concern is to get the application to work with their providers (rightfully so).
