Hello,
I'm testing dvbdream and I have some questions to do as I would like to integrate it in xlobby frontend.
Is there a way to start dvbdream in tv window mode?
Is there a way to go to tv window without having to pass by main window (i.e. not cyclic), by key shortcut or sendmessage or ..?.
I'm very surprised about performance and quality in overlay mode (The best I tested) and PIP utility. Also with time delay changing channels but I think it must be not easy to fix.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Newbie questions
No, but you can use HotkeyP, read this topic and ask if you need more help, say what exactly do you need.Is there a way to start dvbdream in tv window mode?

Describe more please. Try also other codecs.I'm very surprised about performance and quality in overlay mode (The best I tested) and PIP utility. Also with time delay changing channels but I think it must be not easy to fix.

Hello Dreamer.
I control dvbdreamer using girder without problems. As dvbdreamer does not have a direct key to go to tv window and fullscreen modes (it uses f5 to cycle window mode (main/tv/fullscreen) and escape to go to main window) I had to program girder with a zoom key (f5 twice) and an unzoom key (f5).
So I start dvbdream in fullscreen mode (I'd prefer tv window mode but ....) next I switch dvbdream to tv window mode with f5, then when I switch from tv window mode to fullscreen (f5+f5) I always see main window with channel list, menus etc ...
, . So I think it could be a good idea to have a new key to go to tv window mode directly without visualizing main window.
About channel change delay I've seen it's in 1.4 to do list. I have a dvb-t card (Hauppaugue 1300) and dvbdream takes over 6 sec to change a channel (if the new one is in another frecuency, it's faster changing channels in the same frecuency). That do not happens with other tv players like mytheatre, progdvb or digitalwatch. I think it's not a codec problem as I've tested it with cyberlink, intervideo and elecard without success.

Hello,
Try option "Double click to return previous mode in fullscreen" in preferences > general. Then simulate double click in Girder if you can, if not, try HotkeyP.I control dvbdreamer using girder without problems.
