Is anyone able to record directly to DVD? Nero Vision or...?

Recording to DVD works well with Nero Vision, but DD doesn't appear as an input option. I only have the ATI AIW capture card and the webcam as options.
Does it have to be faked somehow? People had to fake their satellite DVB-S card to report as a terrestrial DVB-T to get it to work with Windows Media Center 2005.
Is anyone able to record to DVD and how?
