I have a skystar2... I installed 1.1h but I want to go back to 8.7b but I can't get a signal level.

I have uninstalled the Technisat TS440a sotware and reinstalled old drivers. What causes the problem?

Try to completely reinstall drivers to 4.2.11.

1. No EPG - my wife won't use 1.1h because she insists on getting DVBEPG back, or STB

2. DVB card is in my home's central server and I have to reboot computer too often when exiting and restarting 1.1h when running Winamp, Windows Media Player, Divx player etc. Several times I have closed 1.1h and tried to restart only to be told it is already running (without it being on the processes list in task manager)

I really like 1.1h and would put up with the rebooting if it had a working EPG

I have the same experience, I wonder how wide spread it is. Perhaps a new thread in Bugs forum is in order.

What about FAQ?
15. Application doesn't exit or start properly, why?
Remove old/incompatible modules and plugins (one by one). If it doesn't help, try to close DD, then backup and delete Settings.ini file.

Brand new installation, no old modules, no old ini file. For me it usually happens after a fresh machine restart.

What codec, what station (scrampled?)? What plugins (DLLs) do you have in Plugins dir? Skystar 2 card too? Do you have the latest drivers (DirectX, Graphic, Sound card...)?

"another instance is working..."

it is a known bug (and I know where it is), will probably be fixed in next version

This would happened to me everytime I upgraded versions of Dvbdream. Had to restart to clear the "already running" fault. Now happens once in awhile, not a big problem.
