Recording playback problems

Hi everyone. This is my first post so here goes. I can record various programs with the default settings in DVBDream, but they will not play back using any of the players on my computer,e.g WMP,Real Player or Nero. They all come back with the same thing, This device has encountered a problem and will be closed down! I've installed latest versions and drivers with no luck. I've also tried it on FTA channels with plugins disabled but still the same. With playback in DVB Dream the screen stays black and the program sometimes stops responding. Any ideas to solve this would be appreciated.

Hi, tried newest of everything! ProgDVB plays back ok!

What MPEG2 codecs do you have installed?
Have you tried the MPC, or VLC players?
You could also try to change a codec/renderer, or format (TS/MPG), ffdshow is free for example.

I've changed some codecs and it now seems to play back ok with DivX player but how do I get h264 codec into DVBDream?
