I've a simple (2PC with ethernet cards)network.
My client PC (vlc) IP address is 192.168.0.253 & Server PC (DD) is 192.168.0.1. This is my PC to PC connection.
I dont have a modem with router, mine is usb with no ports.
I can watch DD from my client PC nice with VLC but it eats all my PC's INTERNET. (B'coz off upload)
When I checked I saw that DvbDream uploads from my adsl network too (I've checked with netlimiter)
What is wrong with my config? (I wrote 192.168.0.253 to DDserver & choose UDP/RTP from VLC client)
How can I use my internet while watching DvbDream
Btw, DvbDream is the only Solution for me. It works flawlessly. I've tried every program but only DD switches channells with no problem & clear. GUI is perfect, program works very fast. Congs :)

Re: DD eating Internet
So you have a host-to-host network (the 2 PC are linked by a cross-over LAN cable and are configured with statics IPs) with one of your PC sharing his web connection (the PC where your USB modem is plugged).I've a simple (2PC with ethernet cards)network.
My client PC (vlc) IP address is 192.168.0.253 & Server PC (DD) is 192.168.0.1. This is my PC to PC connection.
I dont have a modem with router, mine is usb with no ports.
I guess that you've used Windows' Internet Sharing Wizard which has created a bridge-connection between your ethernet card and your USB Modem network interface.
First of all, we should say, that this configuration requires system ressources on PC that acts as server for each data packets transfered between client PC and web connection. In conclusion, it's not safe for the server PC's performances and this can cause lacks in data transfers if the server is high-loaded.
Then, we should consider the fact that Windows' Internet Sharing function does not manage network bandwith as well as a router does.
I don't understand what you wrote ?!? Especially this : "uploads from" ? We can download from or upload to (ie : a web server) but we can't do it the other wayWhen I checked I saw that DvbDream uploads from my adsl network too (I've checked with netlimiter)
Is Microsoft QoS activated on all of your network connection's property page or not ?How can I use my internet while watching DvbDream

Well, I dont know exactly. But it was manual IP in the client machine and Server machine with Auto IP.
I just switched all to Auto IP, thats all.
It's working now, there is no activity in Netlimiter about DD.
But unfortunately now I have glitched video. Especially in fast/speed screens.
It was working great (but it eats my internet) now it dont touch to internet but video glitch...
sorry 4 my english
