My older TWINHAN starbox II USB 7021A model is flawless in the last BDA all version.

I bought a newer AZUREWAVE (Twinhan) USB 7022 model but doesn't work with latest BDA all. It works with progDVB but DVDREAM is very much superior to progDVB but I want to use DVBDREAM. ScanMan what shall I do?
THis is only my stumbling block in my new 7022 to use it.
It's DVBDREAM or nothing.

still no starbox 7021?

Postby 70MM13 » Mon Aug 04, 2008 5:04 pm

hi scanman

i thought i would try with the new version of dvbdream but still no luck. are you still trying to get the 7021 (not "A') to work?

on this latest version of dvbdream ("i") the twinhan SDK driver almost works. i see signal levels on the transponder scan, but no channels.

thanks

i see signal levels on the transponder scan, but no channels.
Try this with your StarBox. (I assume you've got BDA drivers installed)

Start TwinhanData and lock any actual transponder in high band (11.7GHz to 12.7GHz), then another one in low band (10.6GHz to 11.7GHz). Close the utility, then start DD and scan.

If that worked then you'll have to do it each time Windows is restarted.

I m using latest dvbdream version with 1.1 drivers from the official website but i cant lock to the S2 transponders.Usually at the first time i can lock,see that both lever and quality are 50% and 90%,i have image (sky cinema HD e.g) and after a while signal drops to 0% till it comes back in a few seconds(and it goes away again..).

I dont think its coreavc problem cuz using my old SS2 card i could watch MTVNHD without any problem so i guess the card cant lock properly to DVB-S2 channels.Any ideas?

Yes,

I'm also have TwinHan 1027 and so like the DVB Dream.
Scanman can you replay if it possible to support this card in your next release. :?:

Thanks for you work.
Hey Scanman. Is there any chance of updating this driver to support the Twinhan 1027 / Azurewave AD-SP 200?

I tried the 1.08 version but it was a no go.

Thanks,

(POST #4)
Another progress: I was able to tune in 4 new channels using DVB_All 1.0.8. So now I have 5 programs @690MHz and 4 programs @746MHz.
One disadvantage: when I change a program which is assigned to 690MHz, to a program assigned to 748MHz -> DD stops receiving/displaying TV and I have to:
1. in DD, in options->device: change device to "BDA 2.0.0", press "START" (still no reception at this point)
2. Still in options->device: change device back to "ScanMan 1.0.8", press "START"
3. Now I have video&audio again and can watch TV

Please add some reset command or something, so that I wouldn't have to go through above steps (1.,2.,3.) every time.

The problem doesn't happen when I switch programs assigned to the same frequency - for example I can switch between programs within 690MHz or within 746MHz and don't lose reception. Jumping from any program on 690MHz to any program on 746MHz forces me to follow above instrucion in order to receive program in DD.
I hope it is possible to eliminate this disadvantage.

(POST #3)
There is some progress in my experiments and I am able to receive TV :) , but it is tricky. After closing DD I can't just start it again because it usually won't receive TV. In such situation I have to either restart a computer or do the following:
1. Start DD with device set to ScanMan driver 1.0.8
(no reception at this point)
2. in DD, in options->device
- I change device to "BDA 2.0.0", press "START"
(no reception at this point)
- I change device device to "ScanMan 1.0.8", press "START"
- exit options->devices
3. Now I can watch TV and all seems to be working!
4. Now if I close DD but don't restart Vista, then the next time I usually have to start from point 1. to have it receiving dvb-t tv :shock:
Additional info:
- When I watch DVB-T channels, indicators still are: Level:0% (?), Quality:100%, but it works.
- In Options->Video I use FFDShow for audio&video + ArcSoft for h264.
- Don't know if it is important, but I did put the content of "gp_Unified_1.1.4.zip" into devices directory
- DD 1.4i
- Logs in attachments are not updated because I don't know at which point I should take them

OS is Vista 32 Home Premium. The card is hybrid DVB-T/Analog TV/FM Leadtek WinFast PxDVR3200 H on PCI-E bus. Card driver is the most recent (see signature). DVB-T chanels are h264, some HD. Mobo is Asus P5E with E8400Cpu and 4GB RAM from k*ngston, QVL.
