New DD 1.4 successes

Whoa! It's autoscanning
all transponders, including my bandstacked "horizontal" transponders. (This never worked in 1.3c.) I did have to deinstall first, and also clean up my old DD folder of ini files, before DD 1.4 would start. But once started, DD went through it's initial questions re: language, satellites, etc. flawlessly and then started flashing it's Scan button at me.
I am
very impressed so far.

Well, I spoke too soon. I can scan and tune to
some of the channels available, as indicated by signal strength. But I see no video and hear no sound.
Edited to add: Seems the channel is being tuned. I can record the stream and play it in external players.

My scanning problem was apparently caused by spotty diseqc cotrol. I'm now forcing a retune and sending diseqc commands twice. Channel scanning is now much more complete.
I can also hear satellite radio stations nicely within DD 1.4. But none of my Dish Network FTA channels show up in DD even though they are tuned. For example, I can record them and watch and hear them in external players, but not in DD.

you can hear radio channels but you can't see video on TV channels.
sounds like a v1.4 codec incompatibility problem (it is more sensitive in v1.4 for now) What codecs have you tried ?

Video codec says CyberLink (v5.0.0.231 - 8/23/2004) while Audio Codec says CyberLink (v5.0.0.24 - 6/28/2004). Video Renderer is Video Mixing Renderer 9, Audio Renderer is Default DirectSound Device. H.264 Codec is greyed out but says CoreAVC (v0.0.0.4 - 1/12/2006). The blue and red bars under the Active DirectShow Filters box endlessly grows from 0 to full scale over about 10 seconds.

ok, it means Cyberlink can't pull the data from the ddsource and buffer overflows.
You must give a try to other codecs: Intervideo, Sonic, nVidia etc..
Install WinDVD demo to have tatest Intervideo codecs.

There are problems with Smartvision Cdvbany2030s Coship card with latest version with video display.
Video brakes on some channels - whatever videodecoder I use.

Video display issues are not related to DVB hardware.

No, in 90% cases problem is with software.but how I have problems with version 1.4 and not with 1.3c?
SOmething is not OK, that's obvious, maybe bad relation with software and driver.

DD 1.4 uses a new DS DDSource filter (ddsource.ax)

Ok, so what is your suggestion?
Can I put old filter by replacing the ddsource.ax file?

No the old DDSource filter would not run with DD 1.4.
As Rel wrote in another topic, the last stable release of DD is 1.3c.

thanks for fixing the error, with 1.4a dvbdream version video is running like before.
But unfortunately not on all decoders, only on cyberlink video codecs, I tried with Nvidia Pure Video and problem still exists.
don't know for the others, but I get best picture with Cyberlink and Nvidia Pure Video decoders, but I preffer nvidia because dvbdream never detect real aspect ratio without decoder.I could only auto detect with nvidia
Intervideo is not so good, but it's ok on slower pc's like elecard.

Do you tried the latest version of Cyberlink codecs?
CyberLink (New) (v8.0.0.126 - 18. 7. 2007)
Of course, you must use Overlay renderer (but with nVidia too).

can you tell me where can I get them?
I already use Cyberlink Power DVD 7 installed from the April of this year , but obviously I don't have newest codecs.
