Hello All,

is a designed behavior that the LNB is not powered off when DVB Dream shuts down?

Thank you.

Mine always does/has. Maybe your hardware driver is set keep it on?

I have the Twinhan 1020a, works as expected.

Hi,
thank you for your reply.

I am using an SS2 card with latest drivers (4.4.0.0).

When using the same HW/drivers with ProgDVB, the LNB Power Off on exit works.

I tried to manually set LNBPowerOff=1 in Settings.ini, with no result.

Is there anyone using ss2 able to power off the LNB when leaving DVBDream?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Sentarou

You can set LNB OFF with all SS2 driver versions, the problem is that DVB Dream don't use LNBPowerOff option for now, but I'm sure that it will use it in the future.

I hope it will.

Besides the Skystar 2 DVB card, I have a satellite TV set-top-box in the living room.
Sometimes I want to watch TV in the living room (leaving my computer on, in my bedroom), but I can only watch some channels. For example, if the last TV channel I watched on DVB Dream, has Horizontal polarisation, I can only watch TV channels (in the same satellite) with Vertical polarisation on my set-top-box, and vice-versa (polarisation wise). This happens because DVB Dream doesn't turn the LNB power off on exit.
So, a "Power off LNB on exit" option would be apreciated.

[EDIT] I'll post this in the Features Request section, since there is no topic there about this subject.
