1.4F always crashes on channel change and audio channels

I've been experimenting as we go along with 1.4.

1.4E was a little unstable, crashing sometimes.

1.4F is very very crashy, and always crashes when trying to listen to most audio channels from dishn**.

Tried re-installing.

oh something must be wrong? (most likely plugins or codecs?)
v1.4f should be most stable in v1.4x series.

I am listening to channel 977 right now. :D I have not observed a crash of 1.4f. Some obvious differences between your setup and mine:

Code: Select all

Me You
----------------------
1025 1020a
W2K XP
1 CPU dual
Also, I did not go directly to 1.4f but instead first installed the patch to 1.4e. Let me add that I could not get 1.4f to run at all until I deleted dvbepg.ini. The pop-up informing me that my dvbepg ini file was too old could not be dismissed!

I don't know. Same codecs and settings I always use.
Double checked.
Reinstalled into new folder.

1.3 ran quite well, would run for days, even weeks with no trouble.
The first few 1.4 releases worked alright.
The last two have been unusable for me.
Maybe it's my hardware arguing with the latest ddsource.
On a video channel it crashes after a few minutes, 6000's audio channels it crashes immediately.
Trying it with no plugins or modules, so far it's better.
But I've just copied everything from one version to the next, works in 1.3 but not 1.4.

Okay, running with no plugins, only module is DVBEPG, same trouble. This time instead of crashing it just closed.

With a plugin, and without any modules, I get an error, but the DD continues to run.

1.4f gives me dvbepg ini might cause problems and just hangs. When I finally cleared out the INI I can't scan anything so I just reinstalled 1.4d and it works just fine. So is DVBEPG not working at all with 1.4f?

Installed 1.4G on top of F, all good.
Been running for about 10 hours, plugins and modules as I see fit, running DVBEPG, my choice of codecs, no jitter, no losses, a few resets, smooth as glass. Favorite audio channels are working too.

I could not get 1.4F and DVBEPG to play nice no matter what I tried to do.

Still no scheduling capability

I still wish DVBEPG to be able to schedule recordings. Only watch and record now works. :(
