TBS 6903-X issues

I have been using TBS6925 for many years without problems. However, I am now using TBS 6903-X and have found DVBDream runs extremely slowly. Sometimes the program just hangs and I have to shut DVBDream down. Am using Windows 11. Has anyone else experienced the same?

It can be scanned well with DVB Dream. It is indeed slow scanning, but this is because of the card and not the player.

OK thanks. I am surprised at how slow it is. I would have thought a newer card would be the opposite.

Yes, but the quality of the 6903x card lies elsewhere. It knows how to find transponders with S2X extension and special parameters; for example, it lock symbol rates over 100000 Mpms!

There are virtually no S2X channels anyway. I sent the card back for a refund. For the astronomical price, I expected a better performing card.

Maybe you were in a hurry to return the card, because the Swiss packet of 33.1E is transmitted with the S2X extension. And on the other hand, the future is transmissions with this parameter, but also others that other cards cannot. There are also feeds that are transmitted in S2X.

Maybe in 3 or 4 years time, I will look at how things are then before buying another card. Cannot justify it at the moment. I wish Prof was still manufacturing cards.
