How does this thing work?

I got DD 1.4h. I can't get the video to display probably no matter how hard I try. It is going out of Sync and jerky. I can hear audio ok. Screen is horribly problematic. Did I miss something here?
Twinhan 1020a WDM Driver.
NVidia Purevideo Codec
NVidia 6600GT
Athlon 64 3200
1G RAM

I had no problem before with the very old DD. Can someone shed some lights on how to make this thing to work?
