DVBDream 1.4i + TT S2-3200 = No HDTV
Moderators:X05, Dreamer, FredB
Hi, I need a little hand in order to get the configuration in he subject running.
The Hardwre and the driver work, this is proven by the original TT application, who can show DVB and DVB-S2 programs. But its quite ugly to use, so I'd like to use DVB Dream.
DVB 1.4i runs fine with DVB - picture and sound. But DVB_S2 / H.264 does not work. Sometimes there is a picture but never any sound.
Seems like DVB Dream tries to refill a buffer again and again. When receivin H.264, the Audio Renderer (under Options/Video) is marked red. I've tried a lot to get rid of this but cannot. This was the same with 1.4h.
Here's some details on my config - let me know what else might be interesting:
DVB Dream 1.4i +BDA 2.0 + TT S2-3200, on ASUS P5E WS, Quadintel, 8800GT
DISEQ 1.0. Astra und Hotbird
Original Codecs from the TT website, last version 5.0.0.12
Video Cyberlink 6.0.2.264
Audio Cyberling 6.0.0.264
Video Render Video Mixing Renderer 9
Audio Renderer Realtek HD Audio (from last Realtek Driver set 1.68)
H.264 Cyberlink PDVD7 1.7.0.23
Any hint, idea welcome. Would be great if it's all my fault ,-)

DVBDream 1.4i + TT S2-3200 = No HDTV
Hi,
thansk for the feedback. Actually I don't understand "8psk & nbc-qpsk", but here are a couple of screenshots making clear my issues.
Please note there are a couple of TV programmes listed for H.264 which makes me believe search works ok.
But when I display the programme, like SAT 1 HD or Anixe HD, only every minute or 2 a picture is shown, and in the mean time this red signal on the buffer (see picture) grows and grows. When full, the next picture is shown. And - no sound.
Thanks again.

You could try the AC3filter http://ac3filter.net/ I am using Elecard that comes with pogdvb for audio. I have smooth playback on HD channels 1400x900 with arcsoft filter

Hi
same thing here :
it was ok with 1.4d and 1.4h audio=AC3 + h264 core AVC
test with 1.4i, picture ok but no sound. It's impossible to choose AC3. I always have Microsoft MPEG-1 audio decoder. I tried to remove it but no sound again

The problem is that I have no sound anymore with 1.4d, it's impossible to have ac3

Hi,
I think my problem is the red boxof the Audio renderer. How can I fix that? Any Idea?

I downloaded the trial of WINDVD Gold and installed it - no idea what changed but now it works. what I still not get is why the TT app worked well with the other codecs.
But anyhow. Lets see what happens next.

Similar set-up with still some choppiness!
I have a very good set-up!
Fast PC, 3GB RAM, genpix skywalker & vista 32-bit.
I have so far used Core A V C, Nvidia PureVideo, Windvd 8 in all sorts of combinations. Haven't tried Cyberlink yet.
I'm still not getting a SMOOTH pic on the H D channels. Also, when I change channels, pic rarely shows up.
Anyone having similar problems?

HI
I can run the TT-3200 with it's crude software that it came with.
When trying the card with DVBDream I get a black screen and no audio.
It looks to me that there are no video or audio codecs being called by the software.
I tried some S2 broadcasts that I know of and some stuff on a particular bird and it
does not even see the transponders marked 8PSK, just skips over them, no signal.
I scanned in some FTA stuff from 97 degrees West and still a black screen.
This is what I have in the Video and Audio section.
Video: Null (No Video) (v 6.5.2600 132-8/4/2004)
Audio: Null (No Audio) (v 6.5.2600 132-8/4/2004)
Video Renderer: (red) Video Mixing Renderer 9 or any of the other selections
Audio Renderer: (red) Default Directsound Device or Realtek HD Audio Out
H.264: (No Video) (v 6.5.2600 132-8/4/2004)
I am trying to get this TT-3200 card working with some type of software other
then the software it came with.
So far I have not found through quite a few forums in the past two months purchasing
this board, that anyone has ever made it to work with any of the few multimedia software
out there, Linux or MS OS.
Is there an known S2 board that works?
I also need some help with some plug-ins.
"Snap snap, grin grin, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more?"
Please PM me on this...
Thanks
I'll save the ATI HDTV Wonderful card for another topic...
Update Reading through the posts it dawned on me that DVBDream needs some
type of video codecs besides what comes with XP.
I installed Cyberlink and I now have video and audio, but it is quite jittery.

Ok
What am I missing here?
I tried a few different suggestions and still no go on the HDTV (S2 8PSK).
Any other suggestions? For some reason during the scan, the card does
not even see the transponders that carry 8PSK.
Could it be an MPEG4 Issue? In addition, after installing two other programs
for use of the codecs, Cyberlink's codec disappeared from the selection, all
that is selectable is InterVideo and NVidia.
Could this be the problem?
Thanks
