Hello, I have a sub d$$sh with a vip 211 and the switch for disec says it's a twin. I ran another cable out from my dish to my bedroom computer and testing with windows XP and a genpix 8psk to usb adaptor. My dish is a dual lnb and third lnb for the 129. I'm confused on what the settings s/b for disec can anyone help me out on this?

Found out from genpix this is what they said and this works!!!!

Since you use internal disec switch (inside 1001.1 LNB head), it's better to use raw diseqc commands Instead of standard diseqc commands (internal switch usess address 0x11, external 0x10.

Thus, configure your switch as None, and connect all three sats to the same input.

Configure LNB as bandsatcked Ku-Hi(with LOFs, 11250000 and 14350000)
22khz = off
uncommited = disabled

And use the following RAW diseqc commands:
for sat 119 - E0 11 38 F2
for sat 110 - E0 11 38 F6
for sat 129 - E0 11 38 FA

Go into the setup for each sat. it is the second tab over.
Normally it is blank just type in the E0 11 28 F2 (or whatever corresponds to the sat you want) in that field.

I am also working thru this right now

Raptor are you connected right to the 1000? Or are you using some type of a switch in between?

Will this work with 1000.2? Or is the Skywalker-1 unable to switch the LNBs without more power like from a DP44?

you can use Power Inserter (from DPP44 set - you can buy inserter for ~ $20) with 1000 or 1000.2 dish.

SkyWalker-1 has enough power to drive 1000.2 (assuming you don NOT have leaks in cables/connectors). And you can get away without power inserter.
One catch though: first tuning attempt will often fail (cause DVB application usually does not wait till 1000.2 internal switch is ready to accept disecq commands after cold boot). Thus, use power inserter if you want your scheduled recordings to happen
I mentioned this several times already.

Thanks for your help genpix. I really appreciate your reply. I'm new to all this so it's a bit overwhelming.
