I had InterVideo WinDVD 8 Trial on DD version h working a month ago on Vista Home Prem. I upgraded to DD version i and reinstalled WinDVD 8. The codec displays in the drop-down in DD, but when I apply, a dialog indicates that it "couldn't create video-decoder filter". Is there a different class ID to use in the guids.ini file? The current data is:
VIDEOCODEC2=InterVideo, {0246CA20-776D-11D2-8010-00104B9B8592}
I'm using Vista Home Premium, running the admin account. I searched the registry for this type of info, but to no avail.
Thanks!

I had the same problem with Intervideo codec version 5.0. It worked really great for about a month. In fact, it works better than any codec out there for mpeg2. I could have 10 pips open with only about 90% cpu. With FFDshow, I can only get about 3 or 4 at 90%. But in the end, FFDShow wins because its more reliable without the trialware crap.
