Diseqc problem with dvbdream

Postby lenix » Mon Feb 18, 2008 1:23 am

What's up guys,

I tried both Dvbdream and progdvb but I must say, Dvbdream is much better :)

Anyways for my problem that I hope to solve
I have disecq with 3 ports, 1) Arabsat 2)Nilesat 3)Hotbird ... whenever I scan for channels, Dvbdream only find Nilesat channels, I can't find Hotbird channels for example.. ( When I scan for Hotbird I get Nilesat channels also ;/ ).. same Diseqc configuration works with progdvb just fine..

Any idea ? I'm having the feeling that this problem is not related to dvbdream ? But I'm not so sure.. I hope I can solve it so I can start using Dvbdream officially :)

Many thanks in advance

edit: One more thing, when i try to play with dvbdream diseqc settings then scan for hotbird and then after I close dvbdream, if i open progdvb, i get no signal on hotbird.. until i restart my computer..

I know I'm asking a lot but maybe some kind person can help.. thanks :)

my driver is: 4.4.1.0

Sounds like your using bda drivers in dvb dream. There are many other threads almost identical to this.

check these out first:

http://www.dvbdream.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1590

Also try a search keyword "bda"

I hope this helps.

In the supported devices link skystar 2 pci was working with B2C2 Direct/SDK. Goto options, devices and click the "display all devices" check box. then try B2C2 Direct, or B2C2 SDK. See if one of those works.
