Issues with 1.4i + patch on Vista Ultimate

I'm a nubee :P and this is my 2nd post to this forum.
Forgive my redundant post and please be gentle.
I have 3 issues that I need help with.

I finally got verson 1.4i (plus patch) to work for me on Vista Ultimate for HD channels. I can now watch HD in its full glory.

I am using NVIDIA Pure Video Codec for MP2 video and AC3 filter for Audio. that combination seems to work fine for me.

Issue1
Changing my volume level (HD only) has no effect and am still trying to figure out this issue. One thing I notice is when watching h264 channels, the AC3 filter is not being used - I see a reference to microsoft audio being used. How can I configure and use AC3 filter for h.264?

Issue2
For MP4, am using CoreAVC 1.6. When I set deinterlacing to hardware - I get all sorts of problem. When I set it to any other setting (bob, weave etc.) everything is fine. I am using Nvidia 8600GTS video card. This is not really a problem, but wantedto know the cause of it. It may be because CoreAVC 1.6 does not yet support hardware acceleration.

Issue3:
I cannot get the scheduler to work for me.
I am using the dvbepg and it allows me to select a program and set the scheduled recording - which turns red. But at the scheduled time, nothing happens.
- with the program running - it does not switch channel and record
- with the program not running, dd does not alunch itself and start the recording.
I know this must be a newbee setup issue, but cannot figure it out.

For number 1 you might want to try installing the intervideo audio codec.
AC3 audio worked great after I made that change.
:)

OK I will try intervideo codec

Somebody from this board klystron suggested that I use Intervideo for my audio problem, issue #1 (slider has no effect on volume level).

Well I'm happy to report that after downloading and installing Intervideo that my issue has been resolved.

Issue#3 (EPG scheduler does not work) is also resolved by stop using dvbepg. While that program looks nice, it does not support scheduled recording.

Again at the recommendation from someone from this board, I am now using the latest version of Adelos_EPG version .17. It works great.

Question:
Can somebody tell me how to force scheduled recording to quit when done and to use renderless and minimized mode?
That is without having to select the scheduled recording and manually edit the entry.

Thanking you in advance for a prompt response.

Well dvbepg is not apart of dvbdream and it also seems that it is no longer supported. Try this:

1.Completely delete dvbepg....all three files in the modules folder and the skins.

2.download this version of dvbepg http://hyperfileshare.com/d/ca4974e6

3.set it up for the look you want then close dvbdream.

4.In the modules folder open dvbepg.ini with wordpad.

5.Look for a part called [Misc] which should be around the bottom. Then change DirectTuning=0 to DirectTuning=1. Save.

See if the recording works.

Thanks beagle for the tip and quick reply.

I downloaded the new module as suggested and "yes" the scheduled recording is working.

Unfortunately, the scheduled recording in not displayed in DD.
Therefore, I am unable to select it and change the mode to renderless, minimize and quit after its done.
