ATI Radeon HD 3450, deinterlacing (?) problem.

I'm using ATI Radeon HD 3450 and in general the card behaves well.
When used with latest Cyberlink/ATI video codecs it gives high quality, smooth picture from MPEG streams and with the ATI codec - smooth HD.

I do have one annoying problem:
- usually on sudden picture changes (quick fade to black, commercials etc.) something happens to deinterlacing - the picture becomes shaky, the movements are erratic. It looks like the card/driver is not merging the two half-pictures but displays them alternatively at a 25fps framerate. Very annoying to watch. After a while it becomes normal again, switching channels can also help.
When this happens GPU activity decreases by half (approx).

I link this with deinterlacing, because it happens always when deinterlacing is on (no matter bob, adapative) and does not happen when I turn deinterlacing off (weave). It happens on all Catalyst versions, including 8.2.

Anybody using ATI, having similar or other problems?

am having similar problems with ati codecs and specially getting the deinterlacing to work. no luck with deinterlacing at all with ati or cyberlink codecs. only way to watch without any hassles is to use vlc player on dvb dream though the tools feature but so annoying at times.
plz help here somebody

I got rid of this problem by turning off hardware acceleration in the Cyberlink (new) codec. Now the decoding is done by CPU but no deinterlacing problems anymore.
I wrote about these problems to ATI/AMD but no reaction. Catalyst 8.3 still behaves the same.
