Wide band circular LNB

I am using this wide band circular LNB
special wide band circular lnb
• Input Frequency Range from 11.70Ghz ~ 12.75Ghz
• Output Frequency Range from 950Mhz ~ 2000Mhz
• L.O.: 10.75GHz
I tried to scan TPs from 11.71 to 12.15 Ghz and not picking up anything. But this same LNB can scan all TPs from 12.24 - 12.70 with no issue.
So I wonder if Dvbdream supports this wide band LNB between 11.71 to 12.15 Ghz ????

and how have you described this LNB in DVB Dream?
btw, what's the model number (and manufacturer) of this LNB?

LOF1=10750000 SW=12750000 LOF2=1075000 22KHz off
This LNB is connected to 22KHz port (off)
Model CB2008A
If you google it you can easily find this LNB

it seems to me that you "forgot" to tell us what LNB-type you have selected.
I think, this LNB should be selected as "NA Legacy". You only need to adjust LOF (there is no SW or LOF2 for that type of LNB btw).
That's why I asked "how you described it in DVB Dream", and you failed to answer
added:
btw, how is the sensitivity of this LNB?
I've heard that people complaining about signal strength/quality from this LNB (like few %% lower than standard Legacy LNB).
What is your observation?

Hi Genpix
I use this same LNB on two different brand of STB configured as standard LNB with no issue tuning in to any TPs from 11.75 to 12.75. Same LNB has no issue using Mytheatre. Under Dvbdream I defined the LNB as other. I can tune in to the 12.20 GHz and up TPs but not the 11.75 - 12. 20 Ghz TPs.
I have very good signal and quality level (high 90+) using this LNB? I have no issue at at all with it. It is mounted on T90 dish. Not much of a difference from what I see compared to legacy standard LNB.

have you tried to describe it as "NA Legacy" with LOF = 10750 ?
can you tune to lower freq TPs?
Do you use a diseqc switch?
Also, are you sure that you configured diseqc correctly?
I mean, is it possible that you are on a wrong sat when you are trying to tune to "short" frequency transponders?

free1965tv, I think maybe I can answer your question, I have the same thing as you do, and I get the signals what you are looking for (you know what I mean

. There are 2 thing you need to do.
1. You need to monitor TP 12000, move you d*sh a little bit east from 119, you will get better signal for 118.7.
2. Then you need to manually update the TP for 118.7, the original TP list from v1.4i is kind of messing up. Check lyngsat.

Hi newcrowrock
Maybe you can tell me how you configured this LNB under DVBdream. I don't think my siglnal is off at all as this same LNB is connected to my other STB which is working just fine. I fixed the transponder lists based on lyngsat. One more thing to add, I have no issue using this same LNB under Mytheatre.
My configuration
LNB Type = Other
lof1=10750000 lof-sw=12750000 lof2=10750000
This LNB is connected to the (222KHz off) side on the Zinwell which in turns connected to the port3 on the diseqc. Thanks

LNB Tyepe = Other
lof1=10750000 lof-sw=12750000 lof2=10750000
I guess, you already tried "NA legacy", LOF = 10750000 & 22kHz = Off.
And it did not work, right?

Wow!
This is the first time you are mentioning diseqc switch.
Are you sure your Diseqc switch passes 22kHz tone out?
Have you tried to connect your LNB directly (without switches) and scan with the settings I proposed above?
btw, there are 10 Turbo-FEC QPSK TPs on Anik F3, you wont be able to tune to them with your card. But you should see the other 17 (or so).

just to be sure that you don't use wrong INI file, here is mine (could be not the most up to date; but if you use "Network scan" you should be OK).

Hi Genpix
I am scanning this bird under Mytheatre using skywalker 1 it will not pick up the T8PSK TPs. No problem with other TPs. Any idea? By the way, really like this skywalker I, I was having many issues switching between ports using BDA type cards. This is now so smooth.

I would be surprised if you can tune to any T8PSK transponder on this sat, cause Anik F3 does not use 8PSK at all

do you see any 8PSK in my INI file ?

Hi Genpix
It must be that I need glasses for my eye sight. I thought I read 8psk

. Still I don't know why this is not working on Dvbdream. Maybe REL can comment on this?
