ThecnoTrend Budget 3200 S2 (TT-3200)

Postby BudMan » Mon Jul 07, 2008 6:37 am

Hello

Has anyone got there Technotrend 3200 to work on S2 8PSK, turbo 8PSK or any other modes besides the standard S mode MPeg2? There is an increase of S2 news feeds on various satellites I would like to monitor. I have the companies Frequencies, Symbol and FEC which this card should work with according to the Technotrend specs. These are clients of a company that I work with. This is not being used for DN. Also apparently this card is supposed to see analog feeds too with a special driver. Can't see how though, but you never know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since if I can get this to work I will be purchasing more cards. If there is a better S2 card that is known to work with DD please let me know.

Thank You

I have a TT S2-3200 for some time, but only now I'm having time to play with it.

For what I can tell, it support only QPSK (DVB-S) and 8PSK (DVB-S2), here a image of the card tuning a 8PSK transponder ;-)

It also control my disqec v1.2 motor without problem :D

Hi,

Look at my signature:

Code: Select all

SkyStar2 r2.6B driver v4.4.1 | SG-2100 Motor (SG2100B SEP-9-02) | Dish: 1m LNB: 0.6dB | Desktop: WinXP SP3 | Notebook: Vista x64 SP1 (SS2 by wireless)

Technotrend S2-3200 WDM driver v2.5.1.0 | SG-2100A Motor | Dish: 85cm LNB: 0.2dB | Desktop: WinXP SP3
I use my TT S2-3200 in my desktop, that have a 32bits OS (WinXP SP3), I only have Vista X64 SP1 at my Notebook.

I also use the WDM driver, not the BDA, I try to avoid the BDA stuff.

And, for drive the motor, no plugin is needed, I only use a devicefile, that I made to add support of TT S2-3200 (WDM) to DVBDream, this devicefile was programmed to support Diseqc v1.2 to drive my motor ;-)

No plugin is needed, only a devicefile that use the WDM driver, the WDM driver:

Code: Select all

WDM Software + Driver (nur Datendienste)

* Version 2.19h (28.11.2006) for Win98/ME/2000/XPTM (21,8 MB)
don't support Windows Vista.

@BxS
Please would you place your BxS-TT S2-3200 WDM device-interface at this forum.
I know there are many DD-users waiting for such dev. because the bda.dev (just now) isn't useable for diseqc v1.2
TT-S2 3200, TT-connect 3650CI, Pinnacle PCTV-USB 400e

Ok, if you think that it can be useful for DD users, I will put it public today or maybe tomorrow.
