Installing codecs

I'm having trouble getting ffdshow H264 codec to show up in DD. I have gotten CoreAVC and ATIradeon codecs working but would like to know if anybody else has gotten ffdshow to show up in DD. I tried copying the .ax file to the system32 folder but no go. Any hint would be appreciated,,,,, :cry:

Did you edit the guid.ini file? making an entry for FFDshow?
Twinhan 1020a driver 2.4.1.1, Skystar2 2.3 driver 4.4.0, Genpix USB, T90 and SG2100 w QPH-031.
