WD HD TV Stand alone player

I bought this Western Digital stand alone around christmas time and had no problems until recently. I just purchased a PCI DVB_S S2 Terratec Cynagen satellite card so that I can record HD movies etc directly over satellite and then play them back on my HD player. The player supports MKV, TS, M2TS etc but I am having serious problems though when playing some of these TS recordings which appear very choppy and staggered.
Thor 1W- Certain channels playback well such as BBC HD and Animal Planet HD which transmit using AVC and AC3 codecs in their transmissions. Other channels however such as Canal+Movies HD and Nat Geo HD transmit using AVC and MPEG2 audio codecs, these are the ones that wont playback correctly. I have tried using an abundance of different codecs when recording and also tried remuxing and then converting to MKV but the results are still the same. Not being able to record and playback these channels is kind of upsetting as I went to great lengths in buying this extra equipment and setting it all up. I have searched around on various forum sites for assistance but no joy. I really hope that someone may be able to assist in some way or other.
Thank you.

Sorry I forgot to mention that these files play perfectly well on the PC.

Ive been in touch with Western Digital and they tell me that the player does not support playback of 25fps files although it will still try and play them. That is why some playback ok and some dont.
Is there any way of recording these streams at a lower frame rate?
Thanks.

I am talking HD files only.
