CI/CAM help needed for skystar

Hi,
First time poster here.
I have a windows home server running with a Skystar 1 CI with a mediaguard CAM inserted. In the CAM module is an official CanalDigitaal Smartcard which is activated and is used to watch pay-tv. (I've got it running with a russian program, don't know if I can mention the name)
Now I'm fiddling with DvdDream and I'm very impressed. I've got 2 satellites up and running and I like how it behaves.
But now, when it comes to pay-tv of my official provider, I can not get it to work. somehow the CI/CAM console doesn't see my CI/CAM or something.
Now, I read something that these 'twinhan' like cards are not supported, but these are old posts. Maybe I'm missing something.
FWIW I also have a EZUSB PC/SC Smart Card reader laying around, Can it be for some kind of use in helping DvdDream to watch my official pay-tv?
Thanks in Advance,
raas
