how to use dvb dream with h.264 dvb new zealand / analog uhf

everything i do nothing works when scanning channels

tv in new zealand is h.264 and aac audio pleas help

d in dvb means digital.
that means: don't bother to use it with analog.

I think genpix misundertood something.

jamespoo means DVB-T.

By the way the situation is the same in Hungary.

The DVB-T broadcasts 6 channels currently and 4 of them are free.
2 free channels have H264 video and mpeg sound and they can be viewable by DVBDream.
But the other 2 channels have H264 video and AAC sound and the DVBDream recognize them as DATA stream. If I want to watch one of them I get a still picture and no sound.

Any solution for this?

mate frequency list there is none for new zealand in the app

Hi,

I tried the beta. I had not much time, so here is the results of my quick test:

I didn't found a good AAC codec (CoreAAC didn't worked - no sound).
When I scanned the frequencies, the DVBDream found the channels correctly (the channels with aac sound recognized as TV channels).
If I set the LAN streaming to VLC then all the channels (with mpeg or with AAC sound) can be viewable in the VLC player (with sound of course).

I have Cyberlink PowerCinema6 trial version installed and it looks like it contains aac codec because there is sound on the channels with aac.

Is it possible to 'extract' the codec from PowerCinema6?

So that all for now. I will test more in the weekend.

I got the same problem here in Brazil. Our HD channels are dvb-s2 H264/LATM/LOAS AAC audio. I have DVBViewerPRO, audio codec Powerdvd9, and all channels can be seen.
DVBDream 1.5 does not like H264/AAC LATM. Even SD an 1seg channels can not be seen. IF aac audio codec is not set, sometimes the video plays well (HD, SD and 1seg channels), so I suppose the problem occurs when dvbdream tries to decode latm aac.
I have uploaded a ts sample file. In case you need some more information, I can send you whatever yuo want. DVBDREAM is the best dvb-s player, even better than comercial ones. Lets improve this applicattion.
