Auto launch VLC?

Is there any way to auto-launch VLC when dvbdream launches?

I have VLC set up the way I like it but I don't want to have to go into Tools every time I launch DVBDream and click VLC.

I can't seem to find anything like this is the settings, command-line documentation, or any of the configuration files.
