Loss of Recorder

I've lost the recording ability. This is the first time I've needed it since I did a reinstall of v1.4i in October.
Please advise the simplest way to recover this function, I'm not PC skilled.

In C/Program Files there is a folder in DVBDream called Record but this is empty.

Further to my post I've just found an error message -
'No disc space enough on the record drive' but I don't know what this means.

It means that you don't have space on your hard drive (to make a recording). You need the bigger drive.

check the path of recording folder (in preferences).
Change it so that it references the folder on a drive with enough free space.

Thanks friend I now understand better.

I'm recording say a 1 hour TV prog to a My Documents/My Video folder on F Drive which has 112GB free space, 75% free space. I put other stuff in that folder say from a .torrent so the procedure is established and it did work before the re install.

I thought the error message may have related to a temporary file where the incoming may have been stored, but I've tried to delete stored stuff from any temp files using CCleaner and WinXP Disc clean.

Is there a sample protocol somewhere showing me what basic entries I should have on the DVBDream Preferences/Record box for Max File Size (for split) and for No Disk Space Alert at....

No response yet to my last question.

Would it help for me to do a fresh download and install of DVBDream?
I'm reluctant to do that as its so complicated for me.
