Hi,

the subject says it all.. Is there a webinterface for DD (I've searched, but didn't find anything).

What I mean is, something available throug a webbrowser which will let you:

- view (stream) the current channel (transcoded ofcourse 'cause of bandwidth)
- zap channels
- view EPG
- schedule recordings
- view previous recordings (agian, transcoded)
- ..... (fill in the blanks please)

I'm already able to change the channels throug a webpage I've created and able to stream to the internet with an transcoded stream of 768kb/s with very good results.

Is there any interest in such a 'add-on' for DD? if yes, I'll make up something fancy and you can consider 'Project: DreamStream" as started, I guess I've all the required components ready. only have to put it together.

What do you want?
users? and these with/without channel changing rights? this is what I can think of quickly. (but first basic func.)

But.... if there's already something like this.. I can save my time :)

Kind Regards,

Raas

Hi,

well, I'm going to digg up the project files then and do some work!

I haven't done any work on this, because I'm not able to stream every channel I watch..
EG.. I have a payed subscription to channels, but those channels will not stream on the network. The problem is not the subscription, because I have other FTA channels which also do not stream.

Now, when I say, 'don not stream' this is not exactly true, the TS is streamed onto the network, but it can not be played (vlc just crashes on the 1st frame. in vlc 0.8.4a there's only video played, but no audio)

I'll see what I can do to create a project that others can install/use

(had to create a virtual dir in the IIS with security settings not everyone likes in order to use dreamstart.exe in CLI mode)
