Skywalker-1/DVBDream diseqc problems

This is the second diseqc I am using and it has the same problem as the first. I scan each LNB by themselves on the diseqc, with the other lnbs disconnected, and I can get all the channels for that specific port/sat. the problem comes when I hook them all to the diseqc. Once they are all hooked up dvbdream will only show a signal for the channels on 1 port. If I want to watch a channel on another port I have to first select the channel then restart DVBDream. this will allow me to have a signal for the port that channel is on along with all the other channels on that port. If I want to watch a channel on another port I have to do it all over again. NOTE this doesnt work all of the time but it does most of the time. Please can I get some help here, I use dvbdream, dvblink so I can have the channels in WMC7 so its kind of a pain to have to restart just to change a channel and its really going to suck when I want to schedule recordings.

in 95% cases intermittent diseqc switching is due to lack of proper grounding. But you said that switch works properly if you have just one cable connected to the switch.
first guess: something wrong with coax cables or LNBs.
sounds like one of them overloads the switch and does not allow it to work properly.
do you have any other receivers connected to this Dish?

No other receivers are hooked to it. I dont think one is overloading it either because if I change the channel to another port, then restart the app, then everything is fine for that port. I have read on the mytheatre forum that they say to put the diseqc closer to the skywalker then to the dish. Will it switch better because the commands or whatever have less distance to travel? Im not a big fan of having to run 2 more cable lines into my house but if it gets the job done then Im all for it.
1 More question, since I am a dumbass when it comes to this, what would be the problem to missing HD channels? I mean on 110 I get 100% signal for 12311 but no signal for 12545. All in all I only have about 12 HD channels off 110. If the channel listing here
http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/dish110.html is right I should have a ton more HD then I am getting. Do I need different LNBs?

check the the "beam" column of Lyngsat table.
Conus means Continental US. Thus, you should get the reception.
Spot ## means spot-beam (very narrow signal transmission), and you have to be within that spot to get a reception.
my diseqc switch is near the dish. And I check all SkyWalkers with this switch before sending them out.
So, you don't need to bring the switch closer to receiver.
You need to make sure that you don't have leakages in your system.
That is,
1) you need to use RG6 (not RG5 or RG59) coax cable. Preferably, quad-shield (but double should should work as well).
2) no nails through coax cable
3) water-sealed all external RF connectors (one lousy leaky connector, and you are in trouble).
