Rescue damaged recordings >4GB

Hi,
anyone an idea how to rescue a damaged recording from 1.2. I got recorded a tv movie and have now the same problem a described here:

Please add reply also there - that you can confirm that bug and add more info there.
I don't know what to do, but if you'd convert it to Xvid, it should work (e.g. in AutoGK - freeware). Probably there is also possibility to fix MPEG2, try ProjectX or other program.

you can also try DGindex to demux the streams if you were recording to TS. you must know the exact pids you would like to demux. While betatesting 1.2B3 I successfully demuxed erroneous 7 GB file this way.

MPEG file, after recording put in PVA Strumento. Problem will be solved:

This didn't work for me... The Video was cutted at the same point where the audio ended...
Dreamer's way works without any problems...

Have you tried VideoRedo ? not free but probably provides a trial edition. It has an option in its menu something like "fix stream".
If you seem to continuously have similar problems with MPG recording, switch to TS. (It will record the stream as is, and better for post-process)
