My Channel List

I've been happily using DVBDream V1.5f BDA/DVB-S but I'm still a newbie
and don't really understand what I'm doing!
I've lost all the channel entries in that column I have on the Right and headed General/Favourites/Remote and beneath that is the word All but nothing displays. It used to show all available 28/19/13 channels.

I had so many channels there that I couldn't see so I've been trying to get only the FTA channels listed. Obviously I've done something wrong.

On the screen I have that small box with a C and left/right arrows. I dont know where that comes from but I dont want it as I find it difficult to use so I want to use the channel entries on the right, as I do on my standby DVBViewer.

In the Program Files I found a folder SIMOSD which I didnt understand but I think it may relate to this topic. I read the .pdf file and still didnt understand so I deleted SIMOSD Folder hoping I might get the DVBDream Channel Display back.

No success yet so I need your advice please
Jessie

disable SIMOSD on modules menu
and for the channel list , you probably clicked on quick favorite icons accidently or activated some filtering through CTRL + L
I reccommend you to return to defaults (on file menu)
so that all will be ok and channel list will appear, if you didnt delete channels or satellites.

Got it, and I get the genius himself to help me!
I now have my channel list back and its all FTA. I'd done a slow scan so all the channels were uptodate. I don't understand the phrase 'return to defaults' but I must have done that somehow.

On the screen I've still got that channellist box with a C and left right arrows.
Can I safely remove it? I just cant get it to change to another satellite.

I now have something new and unwanted.
At the base of the screen I have a wide box showing actions
eg Frame rate:48fps Jitter:1ms VRequests/ARequests and Received TS
I dont know what it is and dont think I need to see it. How can I hide it?

you better play with it for a while and you yourself will get how things works on DD, no worries, all will come to you :)

click on the bars at sides and you can hide/show parts of DVB Dream GUI. Or you can simply try "main menu->options -> layout -> compact/normal/full"

you can disable SIMOSD through main menu->modules->module list

and if anything goes wrong, don't panic everytime.
just click on main menu->file->Return to defaults :)
