Instructions for beginner to DVB

Hi, I'm a newbie to DVB and so please forgive me for my lack of knowledge but I'm a bit confused as to the usefulness of DVB Dream.

I already have both a good quality indoor aerial to receive freeview TV and a basic Sky TV dish to receive freeview channels on my TV.

I'd like to be able to view channels on my PC.

So, as I understand it, I need a PC-DVB card, which I then need to connect to a satellite dish (LNB?); a normal aerial won't work, right?

As I understand it, I can install the software and I can 'piggyback' signals off other transmitters, right?

If anyone can provide more information to help me understand all this stuff, that'd be much appreciated! Thx.

I should add that the FAQ gives no support in reference to this question.

Try to imagine someone who doesn't own a DVB card....what would you say to them....?

A normal aerial will work but only on a DVB-T card.
Freeview is exclusive to DVB-T - some free to air channels on terrestrial are 'free to view' channels on satellite. You might not be able to view them with DVB-S card because they are encoded. Example: 5*
