Codecs and ver1.7a

I'm new to DD use, but have been playing with DVB cards for 6 years. I'm having stability issues and the general concensus is that it's probably codec related. OK makes sense to me. What I can't figure is how to get my codecs to display in the selection menu. I have a lot of codecs on my computer but only a few show in the menu for selection. The codecs.ini has all my favorites listed but no show. What do I do?

You can try to check with graphedit if your installed codecs CLSID are identical with those in codecs.ini if the keys are different codecs will not display in DD for selection

on Windows XP/Vista/7 all 64 bit
mainly windows 7 x64 pro PL
