[SOLVED] DvbDream not starting?

Two instances of DD 1.7a with DvbLink for DvbDream 2.2 Win7-32 WMC has been running brilliant.

Last week DD 1 quit starting at boot but the later install of DD 2 had no issues? Unable to figuer why, I deleted DD 1 and reinstalled OK.

Days later DD 2 quit starting and performed the same delete/reinstall, tested both on the HTPC and the extender OK.

A few days ago DD 1 again quit starting, I had made a restore point after the DD 2 re-install and reverted back with both instlations working fine again.

Two days ago DD 1 stopped again. I had to leave for an appointment and didn't boot up the HTPC till today and now DD 2 is not starting ether?

No errors have ever appeared and I have attached the dvbdream 1 & 2 logs but no psiparser log for DD 1 was there.

might be plugin or module related . Did you check removing all modules/plugins/extenders and try to start DVB Dream alone to see if it works that way ?
if you run into problem again, also try deleting settings.cfg file and reconfigure DVB Dream to see if it helps.

OK, will give it a go.

Just Windows 7 default codecs and FFDshow 4472 for AC3.

*Update*

In DD-2, I removed all modules with no joy, removed the plugin with the same results, removed settings.cfg and DD started with setup.

In DD-1, I only removed the cfg and setup started also.

Not sure what the cause was, but now I have a way to track it down.

OK it started (DD not starting) again.

I removed DD1.7a and installed DD2.1 leaving all settings at default tested OK untill today 3 days later, one instance failed to start. As before, deleting the settings .cfg worked.

Have you had user issues with .cfg corruption with windows 7 closing the apps when shutting down?

I can confirm .cfg corruption occures sometimes when DD is forcibly closed via taskmanager or due to system shutdown or reebot

Upcoming version or patch will try to prevent possible data corruption.
If you run into corrupted settings.cfg file, please send me for me to test with.

Did make renamed copies of the successful settings.cfg to revert if one instance fails again.

DvbDream 2.1a has not inherited the corrupted settings.cfg issue with my setup, has been stable since the release

Moving to DD 2.2a, to test EPGPlus with DVB-S NA. If successful, will test DVB-S2 and DVB-T ATSC.

please let me know about your tests with EPGPlus. dish / bev 9 day EPG etc. EPGPlus's new version is a lot better to be released soon but want to make sure works fine everywhere.
