Info About DVBDream

Postby surveyor1951 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 11:39 am

I am pondering if I should go with DVB rather than my Limesat. I have a small Acer HTPC installed running to my 52" plazma TV. I stream radio & run movies through XBMC. I would have 1 less item in my entertainment cabinet if I done away with the Limesat Ultra & replaced it with an external DVB card, that would run through my Acer HTPC.
Acer Series Revo 70 RL70-UR10P Specs:
Processor 1.65 GHz E-Series Dual-Core E-450
RAM 2 GB DDR3
Hard Drive 500 GB SATA
Graphics Coprocessor ATI Radeon HD 6300
Graphics Card Ram Size 256 MB
Wireless Type 802.11B, 802.11G, 802.11n
Number of USB 2.0 Ports 6
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium
Item Dimensions L x W x H 8.26 x 2.13 x 8.26 inches
Processor Brand AMD
Processor Count 2
1:I am wondering what external DVB card would I need to but to support my computer.
2: Can I run private servers through DVBDream as I want to run Bell EXpressVU.
3:Can I run DVBDream through XBMC?
Any help on this would be much apprieciated. Thanks

which satellite /channels do you try to receive? or if it is DVB-T or DVB-C, which country /region and which channels ?
You hear video but without audio, correct?
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
