Dish Pro transponders not scanning all channels
Moderators:X05, Dreamer, FredB
Not sure what I may be doing wrong, but I'm using the new version (1.2d) of DD and when I scan for channels using my DP transponder inis (which I realize are identical except for the names and descriptions (i.e 2410.ini and 2500.ini both have the same 32 transponders) Mytheatre and my older version of DD would scan these find all the channels, but the new DD is finding the exact same channels on both Sats. Please advise thanks!

1)
2)
a) Is it a tuning problem?
Can you see different channels in all transponders of one sat (or in other words, does DD find same channels on all transponders?)
I need to learn device signature (Options->Device Options->Sign)
b) Is it a diseqc problem?
Does it just duplicate channels when you switch to other sat/diseqc port?
try options->general->performance->"Always force to resend diseqc commands" and try to increase "Diseqc repeat count"
DD wont require special INI files for DishPro. (When "NA DP DBS" lnb type is selected in diseqc settings and it will do necessary conversions itself)when I scan for channels using my DP transponder inis

looks like you might have also a diseqc problem there.DD is finding the exact same channels on both Sats. Please

DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it
Thanks you so much for the quick reply!
Again I really appreciate the assistance and will continue to play around with this will await any further help you can offer. Please let me know if there is any other info you need from my end.
I switched to the included ini files instead of my modified DP ones.1)

I do see different channels roughly 300.2)

I tried this and increased to 5. This time I found 388 channels on both 2500, and 2410. Unfortunately again they are the same channels on both Sats.b) Is it a diseqc problem?

Edit to post above:
I made a small error, 2410 found 453 and 2500 found 388, but all 388 on 2500 are duplicate channels.I tried this and increased to 5. This time I found 388 channels on both 2500, and 2410. Unfortunately again they are the same channels on both Sats.

try to use Manual tune for single transponder.
Preferablay the same tp on both Stas, for instance TP1=12253,V,20000.
Or any other which give you asignal on both Sats.
And compare the results.
Then compare them with Lyngsat.
You would see immediately which diseqc input does not work.
PS: you have said nothing about your diseqc switch so far. Is it DP twin with integrated switch or two DP Duals with external diseqc switch?
Are you sure you are controlling it rigt? Are you sure that you configured your inputs right? Check your settings, and please confirm that you did NOT put them (in DD config) on the same input.
Added:
try to tune (manual scan) to TP22=12530,H,20000 on both sats. If you can, you don't see 119 (cause this TP is DSS on 119)

Some TPs on 119 are DSS QPSK, and your DVB-s card can't lock on them.
Some TPs on 110 are Turbo-FEC 8PSK, and your DVB-s card can't lock on them.
You HAVE to use correct INI files.
I don't quite get you. My Dishpro inis work flawlessly in Mytheatre and the old version of DD (.8x I believe)You are wrong. very wrong.

As for diseqc, it's a DP twin. I will try your suggestion.

Good morning,
I am going to restate what rel and genpix are trying to tell you about the “ini’s”.
1) DD from about 1.xh is one of two app’s that PROPERLY handle just about all lnb(f)s.
1a) Especially the stacked lnb(f)s, dp and others prior to dp.
1b) Consequently only STANDARD industry downlink frequencies are used, NOT the #%^* modified ini’s. They where a kludge to get by limitations in sw.
1e) Use the ini’s supplied with dd/genpix and compare with PUBLISHED frequencies.
2) You do NOT have DiSEqC setup CORRECTLY in dd for your stated dp twin to select a different satellite.
2a) A little research will enlighten you to your requirements.
2b) You did something similar in mt.
I am the wrong person to ask for “the code”. VBG
