Poor volume using dream

Postby quinqueremeone » Tue Dec 04, 2018 2:50 pm

Hello,

Is there any way I can increase the volume further within the software as I must rack up my TV to volume level 100 for any clarity, an irritation when I leave DVB dream.

Regards,quin

you can install ffdshow and set audio/ac3/acc codecs to ffdshow in DVBDream
and use its equilizer or other audio settings for more audio level gain. (just click on the ffdshow filter in DVB Dream video dialog to see its options)
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

Hi rel,

Please could you help me as I am not that experienced in setting up DVB. I noticed the volume level is much lower when I watch the same channel but in HD, e.g. Channel xyz SD the volume is good but when I watch Channel xyz HD it is very low.

I went in to Options/Video/Auto Graph and tried to change the Audio Codec, AC3 and AAC codecs to ffdshow but it is not listed in the drop down menu. The only choices I have are Microsoft, LAV and Null.

Thanks,

You can download FFDShow and install it , then restart DVB Dream and click on 'Install codecs' button (name might be a little different, I dont remember) on video options dialog

Hi rel,

Many thanks for the quick reply! I tried the download and it works! I now have a higher volume for HD channels thanks to your advice.

Also I found that when I installed FFDShow and re-started DVBD it automatically showed in the drop down menus.
