Refuses Certain Channels!

Postby stevec5000 » Sat Nov 25, 2006 8:13 am

DD refuses to find any channels on AMC3, 12096Mhz. There is one called Daystar at 2.222Msps,H,V4130,A4131. While I am watching it on my Samsung STB I can scan with DD and it says Nothing was Found. Then it won't let me add it manually since nothing was found. Is there a way to override this failure and add it manually or ideally to make if find all the channels while scanning?

Also, it refuses to get the PBS HD channel on AMC3, 12128Mhz. It shows good signal strength but the vidoe is set to 4:2:0 so nothing shows up! How can I manually change to 4:2:2 in order to get a picture? Thanks.

BTW, I can receive both of those channels just fine using DVBapps instead of DD!

Low symbol rate can be problem for DVB hardware.
My Skystar2 won't lock 1500 symbol rate but my broadlogic will.
Might be possible to add 1 to tuning frequency.
Try manual scan 12096, 12097, 12098, 12099.
My STB would take long time to lock < 2000 symbol rate.
Maybe you can try increase timeout values in DvbDream?
If using manual scan check FEC is on auto.

You could re-use existing channel with frequency 12097000.
SID/PMT value has to be correct in channel properties to get picture. (update all)

Cyberlink/Elecard work on 4:2:2. Purevideo does not.

Please state your system configuration.
