Creating such a module for DD is not so easy as it can seems.
Simoh succeeds in avoiding most of DD SDK traps, but he spent a lot of time to do so. So, please give him some lazy time :wink:

I agree with some of your suggestions (especially about the size of ChannelList panel).

I've created a German language file.

Can you add it to the SimOSD download package, please?

Code: Select all

ChListCap="Kanalliste"
GenCap="Alle Kanäle"
RemCap="Fernbedienung"
FavCap="Favoriten"
AboutCap="Ãœber"
DisplayCap="Anzeige"
TabDurationCap="Anzeigedauer"
TabInfoChannelCap="Kanalinfo"
LinksCap="Icons für Kanalliste und EPG"
IntervalScrolCap="Scrollgeschwndigkeit"
ScrollLineCap="Zeilenscrolling"
ScrollPageCap="Seitenscrolling"
WarningCap1="Bei hoher CPU-Auslastung sollten diese Werte erhöht werden."
Sorry, I don't know how to create an attachment :oops:
Perhaps we could start with custom background and font colors, later the skins.
Oh yeah! a first but just a big step! :)

Thanks for this translation, it will be soon added to module package.

Wait for me please. :) I'll translate it today, it's just the SimOSD.LNG file - those few terms? What about the "mute" problem?

Another suggestion, perhaps it would be easier to implement just the INI settings, for example to disable that [c][<][>] indicator, or even for colors, if possible.

I think this is a bug, or at least a small issue - background image is short.

Here is Slovak translation, but I found few issues:

- Slovak char. - ľ - is not shown correctly, I think it's not the only character.
- Several terms are untranslatable: Radios, Volume, Mute, Renderless Mode, Provider, Fullscreen display mode, TV window display mode, Normal display mode.

Dutch lang

Dutch.

ChListCap="Kanalen Lijst"
GenCap="Alle Kanalen"
RemCap="Afstandsbediening"
FavCap="Favorieten"
AboutCap="Over"
DisplayCap="Overzicht"
TabDurationCap="Overzichtstijd"
TabInfoChannelCap="Kanaal Info"
LinksCap="Icoons voor kanalenlijst en EPG"
IntervalScrolCap="Interval voor verdergaan"
ScrollLineCap="Lijn Verder"
ScrollPageCap="Pagina verder"
WarningCap1="Bij te hoge CPU-belasting zal dit venster zichtbaar worden"

This is not a bug, it's a part of the background.
Thanks very much for all translations.

Changes in the next release, but i need time to do that
i'll try to add a "themes" capability, some advanced settings (changing font size and frame size).

and after (i hope) maybe an OSD based teletext (not for now)

Thanks for all.
Simoh.

Thank you for reply Simoh. What about untranslatable terms, it looks strange now.

I think also ability to change sat. is quite important, if it's too hard to implement now, perhaps you could add sat. to channel list - next to channel - and perhaps also sorting by sat.

Perhaps it would be easier just to change the ch. list width to 33% of the screen by default, I think it would be enough for everyone, save your time for other, more useful features. :)

Another suggestion - reorganisation of channel info dialog, I think there should be more space for EPG info. my suggestions:

- smaller font for channel name
- move some basic info to the first row, next to ch. name, all other, advanced info to second row
- don't use term "Provider"
- don't use angle brackets ([])
- I'm not sure if length info is so important, also progress slider, since there is a current time
- date for now/next EPG is not needed at all IMO
- show bitrate, at least for audio, current information (MPEG-1) if not very useful

...then dialog could be smaller, or few new free rows could be used to show more EPG info. It could be still clear, even clearer after these changes.

Thank you very much again.

New features are nice, but however does it have to get out of full screen every time i want the channel menu list? And how do i change channel on this list?

It's in my list above, there are some keyboard shortcuts issues. You can change the channel by F1/F2, it's not very handy. I don't know if it's possible to use the arrow keys, perhaps Page up/down keys could be used. Esc issue is really annoying if you're using keyboard to control OSD in fullscreen.

Perhaps DD's shortcuts could be disabled if SimOSD channel list is enabled - then any shortcuts could be used to control ch. list.

Auto-hide channel list would help much, since we could use page up/down to change the channel - ch. list would be shown automatically, then after one second channel would be changed (the same as DD's system), after another 3 seconds ch. list would disappear. Just 2 hotkeys, it would be the perfect solution.

Hey Simoh..

Very nice job u did.

Is it posible to make a keyboard shotcut to chage the directory of the favorites. ?

I use a software to emulate keyboard with remote. So i can change channel with remote controle, but not the different katogories under the favorites.

That would be very nice.

Thx

SimOSD looks very good, but there's still this annoying 'thing' - everytime I move a mouse, also if DD is inactive, in window mode and the cursor is not over DD window.

Image

Any chance to disable it, by option?

Thanks.

please solve this issuses in simosd later versions :

1.add a keyboard shortcut for backward and forward EPG
2.simosd does not recognize remote control list by first start and it should be clicked on or switched between general and remote list
3. the info key (i) on my remote control does not work on simosd to see the current channel information and program information EPG

waiting for new versions , thank you.
