DVBDream V1.4i C-Band tuning

Postby selvam » Wed Nov 26, 2008 11:50 pm

Dear All,
I am using DVBDream 1.4i with Skystar-2 V2.6d PCI Card.
In my location most of the free to air channels are in C-Band.
I can able to tune only Horizontal channels, but not Vertical channels in C-Band
Is there any way to tune Vertical channels in C-Band.
If so how can do it.
Sorry for rmy poor English

Dear Sir,
Is there any provision in the software DVBDream for changing the H & V switching (18V & 14V) for C-Band.

Selvam I use C band LNB to receive from many sats. I have no such problem. There is no need to select voltage in DD. It will select automatically.18V = Horizontal 13v = Vertical . With a multimeter you can check if you get 13V.check for any short on your cable. Lastly I had a nearly similar problem. I could receive only verticals on C band. I changed three LNBs with same problem. I discovered that It was one of my Diseqc ports that was causing this problem. Is your problem on c band only? Have you checked if your vertical probe is functioning.

Dear patmos,
Thanks for your reply.
I am receiving the H & V channels of C-Band in my HUMAX VACI-5300.So i think that there is no problem in the C-Band LNB. I think the problem may be in Skystar-2(Hardware) voltage switching. Any suggestion regarding checking the problem in Hardware is expected. Sorry for my poor English.
