DD 1.4 cannot playback *.ts recorded file

Postby chattana » Fri Dec 14, 2007 7:23 pm

I recorded some video, but DD 1.4 is not able to playback. That's *.ts files. However, Media Player Classic plays those files very well.

I made other tests by recording video using mpg format. This time DD plays back mpg files OK. MPC plays back these file OK too.

Other question: is there anyway DD could skipp the advertisement parts within the video when recording?

Thanks

DD uses DirectShow to play the files. It can't playback the files if there is no TS capable DirectShow splitter/demuxer filter installed. This is also why Wiindows Media Player cant play TS files.

No :)

What file format (ts vs pmg) will give smaller size? What really different between two file formats?
Thanks
