video and sound freezes

Postby mcurrier » Mon May 25, 2009 1:19 pm

I have DVB Dream v1.4i with em**ation v4.1.0.15 with a skystar2 card
I am using FFDShow for video and audio
CPU - Intel Core2 Quad 2.6
Video Card - nVidia GeForce 8400GS
Memory - 4g 800mhz
Hard Drive - 74g raptor
motherboard - intel badaxe2

Now my problem...

Occasionaly the video and audio will freeze/stop for no more than 2min then it will resume perfectly...
I have checked my Con.Err and Strm.Err and the only errors I receive are on Con.Err as follows:
Main - Video
Main - Audio
MDAPI - em**ation - EnuNation ECM Filter 1

This happens on all channels on both 110 and 119...

Now, it doesn't always throw an error in the PID Stats when it freezes

my cpu usage jumps from between 6 and 14 even when it freezes

what could be the cause?

remove your plug-in and try FTA channel (NASA, for instance)
if the freezing stops, you will know the answer to your "why" question.

I have exactly the same thing. If I enable the monitor (Plugins-Emun*n-Options-show console) I see the normal Emun*n sequence is

Timer 2 set for xxx cycles
calling function 46
Timer interupt 2 @ xxxx
calling function 0C, then 02, 04, 05 , 06, 07, 03

This sequence repeats.

BUT sometimes the first function called is 0B

If this happens there is a long pause and video/audio stops. but eventually things startup again and function 0B, is followed by the functions 02, 04, 05 , 06, 07, 03.

This is on version SC941.2, I am not clear as to the difference between the SC941 and 4.1 series can someone explain.

EDIT.

Tried SC941.1 and 4.1.0.18 the 941.1 has identical problem. The 4.1.0.18 I suspect is the same except the function call #'s have changed to cw:o + string of numbers. But the same thing happens it freezes on one of the CWo: strings.

EDIT.

No promises try 4.1.0.20 Been using it for 2 hours and no freeze (yet).
