Dvbworld 2004 dvb-s2 PCI Card Problem.

The DD software does not find any DVB-S2 channels when scanning.
Using DVBWorld software supplied with the card, channels on the DVB-S2 transponders are found.

I have tried using the BDA drivers and the DVB World driver. I tried the patch suggested in another feed which did not work. As my issue relates to a different card, I hope it was OK to open a new thread.

OS is Win XP SP2.

Hi,

Just to let you know I'm having the same problem with the same symptoms.
But not just scanning. Even if I manually configure a channel with correct Freq/SR/FEC/Mod it doesn't work - it shows high signal level but zero quality.
And again DVB-S2 scanning/locking/viewing works fine with a crappy software which comes with the card.

Yes, this topic might help the DVB Dream developers but for us users we still cannot access DVB-2 throught DVB Dream. Once again, I take my hat off to those developers of DVB Dream for a fantasic product. It is just a shame that I cannot use to cover all the functions I wish. On a general note, this seems true of most softwares which is normal as software, standards etc. develop and expand, the developers must always try to keep up with these modern trends and expansions. One day...

I just hope DVB-S2 will one day be supported for my little card.

Same with the USB version (DVBWORLD 2104 dvbs2).
Sorry for openning a new topic. I have read a lot, but do not know why I did not note this one. I have sent an email do DVBworld, and they said they sent some samples to DVBDREAM author to help solve this problem.

Updating: DVBWorld USB DVBS2 2104 working with Progdvb PRO, DVBviewer and official software (both in DVBS2 mode).
In DVB-S mode, same apllications above plus DVBDream and Mytheatre.
DVBViewer ins the only one capable of decoding AAC audio. (brazilian HD channels).

During this week I am reading posts about DVBS2 tunning problems. Some other card's models have the same problem: no dvb-s2 signal.
So, it is not DVBWorld's fault. It is a very good card. I am using it with no problem with DVBViewer.

I am wondering what we can do to get DVB-S2 with DVBWorld device PCI 2004-S2. Some posters are getting S2 with Technotrend. Here in USA we have plenty of S2 transponders and it would be nice to use DVBDream.

I am still unable to use DD to scan or view DVB-S2 signals through my DVBWorld 2004 card. Has anybody managed to solve this issue?
