{ WDM 22KHz ON/OFF } DVBWorld DVB-S2 HD 2104 USB BOX

The 22KHz ON/OFF settings in DvbDream is not working with the DVBWorld DVB-S2 HD 2104 USB BOX.

Using the WDM drivers, DvbDream 1.4h detects it as "DVBWorld/Nextorm/SatStar2/Acorp TV878DS USB/PCI (DVB-S)". I can scan and get video on 3 out of the 5 sats I have configured.

The 5 sats are configured as shown. I can scan Sat 1 , Sat 3 and Sat 5, these use 22KHz OFF. The problem, I cannot scan Sat 2 and Sat 4, thesse use 22KHz ON. Bypassing the Diseqc and connecting direct to the 22KHz switch gives the same result. DvbDream is not sending the 22KHz signal need by the switch.

Sat 1 --> Diseqc Port 1 , 22KHz OFF
Sat 2 --> Diseqc Port 1 , 22KHz ON

Sat 3 --> Diseqc Port 2 , 22KHz OFF
Sat 4 --> Diseqc Port 2 , 22KHz ON

Sat 5 --> Diseqc Port 3 , 22KHz OFF

Using the same WDM drivers & the DvbWorld software I can get both Sat 2 and Sat 4.

Which says the WDM drivers, HD2104 , Diseqc and 22KHz are working. As well I'm using an STB with the same hardware and it works perfectly.

Request --> Can we get the DvbDream 22KHz setting fixed in the dvbworld.dev such that it works with the HD2104 ?

This bug is 22KHz

This bug is about WDM 22KHz tone not BDA Diseqc.

The diseqc problem is solved so the other thread can be closed. Once you use the WDM drivers the issue is solved. As well, the other thread is about BDA drivers which does not apply here, WDM drivers.

What is not working is the 22KHz tone settings. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but this is a separate feature request :-
Create one thread per bug/feature request, instead of collecting them in a post!
I did not want this to get buried which is what happened by moving this thread.

I can not get the 22kHz tone to come on with the wdm drivers for DVBWorld PCI 2004-S2

No matter what scheme I use it will not turn "on"

I can use other programs and it does work.

I am using version 1.4i.

Just wanted to say that it happens with both BDA and WDM drivers. Diseqc is working fine on the other hand.

What other programs does work for? I tried it with MT and ProgDVB and it is the same result.

Can the author of dvbdream confirm that it is indeed the driver problem? I have looked at SDK and it seems like the offer 22khz switch in the code so maybe it just needs a little work to implement it?

Hi vint, I think you are correct.

Here's a cut and paste from the bda drivers from dvbworld and they say how to properly add it, I guess for programmers. Perhaps dvbdream team can take this into account on next release or patch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pls use following interface to put ToneBurst setting:
HRESULT put_FrequencyMultiplier(
ULONG ulMultiplier
);
ulMultiplier : 1--->TONE_BURST_SA
ulMultiplier : 2--->TONE_BURST_SB
ulMultiplier : Others--->TONE_BURST_NONE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also like many in this thread have this 22k not working issue, but it's working perfectly with the dvbworld's viewer v2.0.
