A lot of packet losses when recording

Postby reason » Mon Jun 07, 2010 9:50 pm

Causes sound and picture problems. Happens more often with wide screen channels.

Azurewave 1027 dvbs, bda capture driver ver 1.0.2.9 (9/6/2006), tuner driver ver 1.0.3.4 (4/28/2008).

is it not related to signal levels ? or faulty tuner ? did you check with other softwares on the same transpnoders/channels ?
it could be related to excessive CPU usage also. so codecs could be responsible. how is the CPU usage during recording ?
it happens only during recording ?
what type of hard drive do you use ?
DVB Dream - because I have to dream about having time to code it

I've done some testing. It seems that it happens only when recording a scrambled channel in TS format with EMM Recording enabled. Disabling the EMM recording solved the problem. It happens without loading the plugins and modules and it's not related to the cpu usage, HDD or the card itself, As it doesn't happen in version 1.5. Also It happens more often with certain transponders.

PS: My HDD is WD 160 GB sata.
