It only works with free aspect ratio (AR) or if the channel's AR fits the AR of the box with the video in it (black box in main window, your screen in fullscreen or TV window in TV window mode). If not, the offset (X/Y position) of the video is twice of what it should be. For example, I have screen with an AR of 16:10 and a resultion of 1920x1200. Using madVR in fullscreen mode, this results in the following:
- For 16:9 channels, the video Y position is supposed to be at 60 (from the top), but is at 120. X position is fine.
- For 4:3 channels, the video X position is supposed to be at 160 (from the left), but is at 320. Y position is fine.
In other words, the left/top letterbox is twice the size of what it should be. However, the bottom/right letterbox is still normal, so a part that equals the size of the bottom/right letterbox gets clipped off the video.
Tested with: madVR v.0.86.11
(Maybe there is another version of madVR that works better?)
